Accomplishments 2007

NaCOPRW-NYC Chapter worked in partnership with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation to disseminate information on their Youth Awards, presented to 21 of America’s top Hispanic high school seniors from across the country. 7 Gold Medallion recipients are awarded $3,000 each, 7 Silver Medallion recipients are awarded $2,000 each, and 7 Bronze Medallion recipients are awarded $1,000 each. NaCOPRW-NYC Chapter rendered its support to Project Club Clemente, Inc., an organization formed to pay back the loan which financed the “The Flight for Humanity,” which is baseball great Roberto Clemente’s last promise to personally deliver 16,000 pounds of aid from Puerto Rico to Nicaragua, during which time Mr. Clemente perished in a plane crash.
